Contact Types

All personal contact information of all your employees, as well as your company's branches and partners is registered in the OnLAN Messenger database, and can be modified by the system administrator.

There are two contact types in the OnLAN Messenger contact lists (pic #1, 28):
- OnLAN Messenger users, who are registered in the database, and able to use the instant messaging service, exchange e-mail messages and files;
- e-mail contacts, who are either physical or (more often) juridical persons (e.g. your company's branches), also registered in the database, to whom the OnLAN Messenger users are able to send e-mail messages.

Employees who are registered in the database, but are not in the contact list, are those who are not OnLAN Messenger users and do not have their own unique user name in the service. See pic #1 for more information. However, these employees are present in the birthdays list, as shown on pic #10.
