Setting up the OnLAN Monitor module

The OnLAN Monitor module parameters are setup in the "Monitor mode settings" window (pic #2), which can be loaded by pressing the "Monitor mode…" button in the "OnLAN Monitor" window (pic #1).

Use the switch to choose the required OnLAN Monitor mode: local ("Local monitor"). Both server modules will be loaded on the same OnLAN Messenger server machine.

In order to use the additional option of monitoring the OnLAN Messenger server from a remote machine, that is connected to the LAN, you need to load the OnLAN Monitor module on that machine, but choose the "Remote monitor" option in the settings and set the server machine ip-address. Thus, you can monitor the work of the server remotely, quickly receive information on any problems that may occur, and restart the server, when needed.

Local monitor mode parameters:
- Local monitor password: you must enter a password in order to enable the remote monitoring function of the OnLAN Monitor module (you will not be able to use the remote monitoring function if no password is entered);
- Auto restart: if this box is ticked, the OnLAN Server module will be restarted automatically, in case of a crash;
- Start Server on Monitor startup: if this box is ticked, the OnLAN Server module will be loaded automatically, when OnLAN Monitor starts.

Remote monitoring parameters:
- Remote monitor ip: OnLAN Messenger server machine ip-address;
- Remote monitor password: you can enter the OnLAN Monitor password in this field;
- Blink in system tray: if this box is ticked, the OnLAN Monitor system tray icon will blink, when a message is received from the remote OnLAN Monitor;
- Auto connect: if this box is ticked, the remote OnLAN Monitor module will connect to the local OnLAN Monitor automatically.
