Choosing the network interface

In cases when a workstation has one of the OnLAN Messenger modules (OnLAN Monitor, OnLAN Server, OnLAN Messenger) installed, and more than one network interface is installed, or one network interface has more than one IP-address, then it is recommended that you set a separate IP for OnLAN Messenger modules to avoid possible errors.

To do this, you need to add the [NET] section in the onlan.ini file with the IP parameter, for example:
[NET]
IP = 192.168.199.1

The address value for the IP parameter is the IP that the installed module will use in the service. If your organisation's LAN uses dynamic IP-addresses (DHCP), then it is possible to set masks, when setting the IP-address, for example: "192.168.199.*".
